## Acceptable Use

Last updated November 3, 2026

This is the short version of how you may and may not use Mosaic. When you create a Mosaic account you agree to it, along with the full [Acceptable Use rules in the Terms of Service](https://mosaicbrowser.com/terms#acceptable-use), which is the part that binds. Where this summary and the Terms differ, the Terms apply.

## What Mosaic is for

Mosaic is a general-purpose privacy and multi-account browser. It is for people who legitimately run more than one account or identity on the web and need them kept apart, and for anyone who wants to browse with more privacy — agencies and social media managers running client accounts, e-commerce sellers running stores they are allowed to operate, media buyers working inside a platform's own business tools, QA and ad verification, separating wallets or research identities, and keeping work, personal and research browsing from being tied together.

Mosaic does not change what a website or platform allows. Where a platform permits one account per person, using Mosaic does not give you a second one.

## Your responsibility

How you use Mosaic is your decision and your responsibility. We do not endorse, encourage or help with unlawful activity, and Mosaic is neither sold nor marketed for it. Because Mosaic runs on your own computer and we never see what is inside your profiles, we cannot watch or control how you use it — so you alone are responsible for everything you do with it, and for obeying every law that applies to you and the terms of every website, platform and proxy seller you use.

## What you must not do

You must not use Mosaic to break the law or anyone's rights. That includes, among other things, using it to:

- commit fraud, launder money, or get around identity, age, payment or phone checks;
- evade a ban imposed for prohibited conduct, or circumvent a platform's, regulator's, court's or law-enforcement authority's enforcement;
- run more accounts on a platform than its terms allow, or buy, sell or trade accounts;
- post fake reviews or manipulate votes, engagement, airdrops or promotions;
- send spam, run phishing or deception, or cloak content from an ad or content review;
- handle child sexual abuse material or other illegal content, or harass, threaten or dox anyone;
- infringe copyright, trademarks or other intellectual property, including counterfeiting and piracy;
- breach sanctions or export-control law;
- access systems or data you are not authorized to reach, spread malware, or attack or overload any system;
- get around Mosaic's plan limits, license checks or security, or resell access to Mosaic without our agreement;
- share your account or its sign-in with other people, or take more than one free trial.

The full list, with the detail that binds, is in the [Terms of Service, section 5](https://mosaicbrowser.com/terms#acceptable-use).

## One account per person

A Mosaic account is for one person. Do not share your password, sign-in codes or a signed-in session, and do not let anyone else use Mosaic through your account. A team takes one account for each person. There is one free trial per person, per computer and per payment card. We may limit or suspend an account used by several people, or accounts used to take more than one free trial, after a person has reviewed it. We tell you what we restrict and why, and you can contest it, as [section 16 of the Terms](https://mosaicbrowser.com/terms#ending) describes. The detail that binds is in [section 4 of the Terms](https://mosaicbrowser.com/terms#account).

## Reporting misuse

If you believe someone is using Mosaic to break these rules or the law, write to [hello@mosaicbrowser.com](mailto:hello@mosaicbrowser.com) with enough detail for us to understand it. We cannot see inside anyone's profiles, but where a Mosaic account seriously or repeatedly breaks these rules, or the law requires it, we may limit, suspend or close that account, and we cooperate with lawful requests from the authorities.
