## TikTok Shop's multiple-shop rules differ by country

TikTok Shop runs a Seller Center per market, each with its own Seller University. A US answer about multiple shops is a US answer, not a UK one.

![One question, a different answer per market](https://mosaicbrowser.com/covers/tiktok-shop-rules-by-region.webp)

There is no single answer to "how many TikTok Shops can I have", because TikTok Shop does not run one shop platform. It runs a Seller Center per market, each with its own Seller University, and the rules on how many shops you may open live in that market's articles. A seller who read the US answer and registered in the UK has read somebody else's rule. On TikTok Shop multiple shops, UK vs US is two questions with two answers, and the one that applies is the one published for the market the shop is registered in.

Mosaic keeps shops you are entitled to run apart; it does not change what TikTok Shop allows in any market.

## One platform, several Seller Centers

A US seller signs in at `seller-us.tiktok.com`. A UK seller signs in at `seller-uk.tiktok.com`. Other markets have their own. Each Seller Center has its own help pages, its own onboarding and its own Seller University, and each one is written for the sellers who register there.

That matters because the question "can I have more than one shop" is really three questions, and each depends on local rules:

- who may register at all, an individual or only a business, and with which documents;
- how many shops one person or one business may open, and whether they are opened one at a time;
- what makes two shops "connected", and what happens to the others when one is penalised.

The first is the clearest case. A shop is registered against a market's own identity and business documents, so the answer to "how many" is tied to what counts as one seller in that market. A rule written around a US business registration does not carry over word for word to a UK one, even when both pages are in English and look the same.

## TikTok Shop multiple shops, UK vs US: why the answers disagree

Search for this and you will find confident numbers. Read where they come from, and many are one market's Seller University article quoted as if it were the rule everywhere, sometimes from a different market than the guide is about, sometimes from an article written years before. Neither the guide nor the number is necessarily wrong. It just answers for one market.

The connected-accounts part is the one most worth reading in your own market's words, because it decides what a problem on one shop does to the rest. Marketplace policies on connected accounts tend to list the same kinds of signal: shared people, devices, payment details and contact details. Read your own market's list rather than this one. Running several shops you are allowed to run is fine. What changes is that they share a fate, and the market's own policy says how.

## How to check the rule for your market

1. Open the Seller Center for the market your shop is registered in, not the one you happen to be in.
2. In its Seller University, search for the number of seller accounts or shops, and read the article in full.
3. Read the same market's enforcement or connected-accounts policy.
4. Write down the article's title, its address and the day you read it. Rules change, and a note of what you read beats a memory of it.
5. If the article does not answer your case, ask that market's seller support, in writing.

Sell in two markets and you do this twice. The two answers may match. Check rather than assume.

## Keeping shops in two markets apart

If you are entitled to run a UK shop and a US shop, the practical problem is that both want to be run from a browser that looks like it belongs in their market, and neither should see the other's session. In Mosaic that is one profile per shop. Each has its own cookie jar and fingerprint, and its proxy can sit in the shop's market: a UK exit for the UK shop, a US exit for the US one. The profile's timezone and language are set from the exit Mosaic measured, so the UK profile keeps UK time. With a residential provider, pick the country when the session is minted and let the address move inside it ([pinning the country, not the address](https://mosaicbrowser.com/blog/pin-the-country-not-the-address), explains why that is the setting that matters).

Staff logins and two-factor codes for each shop can sit in that profile's own credentials, filled into the page with real keystrokes. A project per market keeps the list readable once there are more than a handful of shops. The rest of a seller's layout, stores on several marketplaces included, is in [the e-commerce sellers use case](https://mosaicbrowser.com/use-cases/e-commerce-sellers), and why a shared browser links accounts in the first place is in [managing multiple accounts without getting them linked](https://mosaicbrowser.com/guides/how-to-manage-multiple-accounts-without-getting-linked).

The ad side has its own limits and its own tool. Ad accounts for a shop belong in TikTok's business tools, and [how TikTok sets a Business Center's ad account limit](https://mosaicbrowser.com/blog/tiktok-business-center-ad-account-limit) covers that separately from the shop rules here.

## Questions

### Are TikTok Shop's multiple-shop rules the same in the UK and the US?

Do not assume so. Each market has its own Seller Center and its own Seller University articles, written against that market's registration rules. Read the article published for the market your shop is registered in.

### Where do I find the rule for my country?

In the Seller University of your market's Seller Center, for example seller-uk.tiktok.com for a UK shop and seller-us.tiktok.com for a US one. Search it for the number of seller accounts and for connected accounts, and note the date you read it.

### Can I run a UK shop and a US shop?

Only if you are eligible to register in each market, with that market's documents. A shop belongs to the market it was registered in, so each one answers to its own Seller Center's rules.

### Can I open another shop after one was suspended?

Do not. A new shop opened to carry on after enforcement is evading it, whatever a market's exact wording. The route back is an appeal through your Seller Center, and Mosaic will not help with anything else.
