## Cookie Policy

Last updated November 2, 2026

This page covers cookies on this website, mosaicbrowser.com. It is part of our [Privacy Policy](https://mosaicbrowser.com/privacy), which names who we are (Enkova s. r. o.) and how to reach us. The Mosaic app on your computer does not use this website's cookies, and the cookies inside your profiles stay on your computer.

## Without asking: one cookie, and only after you answer

This website counts page views without cookies (see the [Privacy Policy, section 6](https://mosaicbrowser.com/privacy#website)). The one cookie it sets on its own is `mosaic_consent`, which remembers the answer you gave the cookie banner, so the banner does not ask again on every page. It is set only when you answer, holds nothing but that answer and when you gave it, and expires after six months. It is strictly necessary to respect your choice, so it needs no consent.

If no advertising platform is configured, there is no banner and no cookie at all.

The site also keeps a few things in your browser's own storage rather than in cookies: the light or dark look you chose, that you joined the waitlist, and, for the current tab only, the source that brought you to the site. None of it is sent to us on its own; the [Privacy Policy](https://mosaicbrowser.com/privacy#website) lists it.

Payment for Pro happens on Stripe's own checkout page, so Stripe's cookies are set there and never on this website.

## Only if you allow advertising measurement

When we run ads, we want to know which ones bring people who find Mosaic useful. If you choose **Allow**, these may load:

- **Google tag** (Google Ads, Google Ireland Limited): cookies such as `_gcl_au` and `_gcl_aw`, up to 90 days.
- **Meta Pixel** (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited): cookies such as `_fbp` and `_fbc`, up to 90 days.
- **Reddit Pixel** (Reddit, Inc.): cookies such as `_rdt_uuid`, up to 90 days.

The platforms set these cookies and decide their exact names and lifetimes; they use the data under their own terms, as independent controllers. Until you allow them, none of these scripts loads, and Google's consent mode is told that every advertising signal is denied. Reject and Allow are the same size, side by side, and the site works the same whichever you choose. The sign-in and support pages never load these scripts.

With your consent, we may also tell those platforms, from our server, that a visit led to a sign-up, a trial or a purchase, so they can count the ad that brought you. Your email is sent only as a one-way hash, and only to Meta. Without your consent, nothing is sent.

The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, and Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive as applied in Slovakia). What the platforms receive, and the transfers to the United States this involves, are described in the [Privacy Policy, section 7](https://mosaicbrowser.com/privacy#advertising).

## Changing your mind

Use **Cookie settings** at the bottom of any page. Withdrawing consent removes the advertising cookies we can reach and stops the scripts loading. It does not affect what happened before. You can also delete cookies in your browser's settings at any time.
