**A profile’s data** REST API

## Bookmarks

Seeded into the bookmarks bar before the browser starts. An empty bar is one more way a profile reads as freshly made.

- [GETRead a profile’s bookmarks](#get-bookmarks)
- [POSTReplace the bookmarks](#set-bookmarks)

## [Read a profile’s bookmarks](#get-bookmarks)

GET`/api/v1/profiles/:id/bookmarks`

The list that will be written into the bookmarks bar the next time this profile launches.

#### Path parameters

| Field | Type | What it is |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `id`required | `string` | The record’s id. |

#### Returns

`{ bookmarks: Array<{ title, url }> }`

## [Replace the bookmarks](#set-bookmarks)

POST`/api/v1/profiles/:id/bookmarks`

Replaces the whole list. Pass `bookmarks` directly, or `text` to be parsed — an exported bookmarks HTML file, a Chromium `Bookmarks` JSON tree, or one per line as `Title | https://…`. Chromium reads the file once at startup and rewrites it on exit, so the change lands on the next launch rather than in a running browser.

#### Path parameters

| Field | Type | What it is |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `id`required | `string` | The record’s id. |

#### Body

| Field | Type | What it is |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `bookmarks` | `Array<{ title, url }>` | The list to store. |
| `text` | `string` | A pasted export, parsed instead of `bookmarks`. |

#### Returns

`{ count, bookmarks }`
