## How to manage multiple Etsy shops

To manage multiple Etsy shops, give each shop its own Etsy account and email, open each one in its own browser or browser profile instead of signing in and out, list every shop on each account's public profile, and add helpers per shop through Etsy's shared access.

Managing multiple Etsy shops comes down to four habits: one Etsy account and one email per shop, one browser (or browser profile) per account so you never sign in and out, every shop named on every account's public profile, and helpers added shop by shop through shared access. Etsy's help pages, read on 2 November 2026, set the rules; the rest is keeping five logins and five sets of codes straight.

Etsy allows this openly. "You're welcome to run multiple shops at once on Etsy", and each account must list all the shops you run in its Public Profile section ([How to Open a Second Shop on Etsy](https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360017604474-How-to-Open-a-Second-Shop-on-Etsy)). Mosaic keeps accounts you are entitled to run apart; it does not change what a platform allows. The full rule, including what Etsy refuses (transfers, merged shops, a fresh shop after a suspension), is in [can you have more than one Etsy shop](https://mosaicbrowser.com/guides/can-you-have-more-than-one-etsy-shop).

## Why Etsy shops are awkward to run side by side

Etsy has no switcher between shops. One account holds one shop, and the help page's own advice for working on two is blunt: "Most browsers won't allow you to be signed in to multiple Etsy accounts at one time. For this reason, it may help to use different browsers for each account."

That leaves three ways to work, and each fails in its own way as the count grows:

- Signing out and in. Fine for a shop you open once a week. With two-factor turned on, Etsy asks for a code whenever you sign in from a different browser or new device, and every 30 days, so the sign-in itself costs time.
- One browser per shop. Chrome, Safari and Firefox give you three shops. A fourth has nowhere to go.
- A browser profile per shop. Chrome profiles scale to as many shops as you have, each with its own cookies and saved passwords. This is the one we recommend before anything else, and it costs nothing.

## Setting up each shop so it stays manageable

Whatever browser you use, the same few decisions save the most trouble later.

**Name things after the shop.** The browser profile, the password manager entry and the authenticator entry should all carry the shop's name. Etsy's security page notes you can use the same phone number or authenticator app for several accounts you own ([How to Make Your Account More Secure](https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/115015569567-How-to-Make-Your-Account-More-Secure)), which is convenient and also how six rows all labelled "Etsy" end up in one app.

**Keep each shop's backup codes with that shop.** Etsy gives 9-digit backup codes when you turn on two-factor, shows them once, and each works once.

**Decide what the shops share.** Etsy allows the same card and bank account, and requires the same taxpayer ID and address where they apply. Shipping profiles, listing photos and order exports are yours to keep apart, and a downloads folder holding three shops' CSVs is the usual place they mix.

## Getting help with several shops

Etsy added shared access, which lets an owner invite up to 5 team members per shop, each signing in with their own Etsy account. Team members can manage orders, buy shipping labels, create and publish listings and answer buyer messages. They cannot refund orders, see finances or stats, change settings or manage other team members ([Shared Access for Etsy Shop Owners](https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/43600112070807-Shared-Access-for-Etsy-Shop-Owners)).

The catch for multi-shop sellers is in the same article: an Etsy account can be tied to one shop at a time, so a helper working on three of your shops needs three Etsy accounts on three email addresses. Their side then looks exactly like yours, and needs the same separation.

## How to manage multiple Etsy shops in Mosaic

A Chrome profile keeps cookies apart and stops there. A Mosaic profile also has its own fingerprint drawn from real hardware, its own saved logins with their two-factor codes, and its own downloads folder. We built it for sellers and agencies for whom browser profiles were the right idea at the wrong size. On one computer, the general version of this set-up is in [how to manage multiple accounts on one computer](https://mosaicbrowser.com/guides/manage-multiple-accounts-on-one-computer).

1. Click **New profile** and name it after the shop ("Etsy - Linen & Clay").
2. On the **General** tab, leave the proxy empty if you sell from where you live. If you do want each shop on its own exit, a saved [proxy provider](https://mosaicbrowser.com/features/proxy-providers) mints a separate session per profile, and a session you pin is never moved.
3. Start the profile and sign in to that shop's Etsy account. Do not add a second shop in the same window.
4. In the **Logins** tab, choose **Add login**, then **Two-factor secret or notes**, and paste the shop's authenticator key. The companion inside that profile shows the code and fills it in.
5. Write the shop's email, its public profile link and anything a helper needs in the **Notes** tab.
6. Tag every Etsy profile "etsy" so the table filters to your shops in one click.

![The Mosaic profiles table: one row per shop, with tags, proxy locations and a Start button](https://mosaicbrowser.com/shots/profiles-list.png)
*One row per shop, started from the table*

Each profile's downloads land in its own folder, kept out of Spotlight and deleted with the profile, so order exports and shipping labels never sit in one pile. Profiles, cookies and proxies stay on your computer; Mosaic has no cloud copy of them.

Free is 3 profiles and 10 profile creations, enough for a few shops; Pro is $49 a month with no per-profile pricing, and the details are on [pricing](https://mosaicbrowser.com/pricing).

## Questions

### Can I manage multiple Etsy shops from one login?

No. Etsy allows one shop per account and one email per account, and has no way to combine shops on one account, so every shop keeps its own sign-in.

### Can someone help me run all my Etsy shops?

Through shared access, yes, but per shop. Etsy says an account can be tied to one shop at a time, so a helper needs a separate Etsy account, on a separate email, for each of your shops.

### Do I need a proxy for each Etsy shop?

Etsy's help pages do not ask for one, and you list your shops on each other's public profiles anyway. A proxy is useful for seeing Etsy as a buyer in another country does, not for separating your own shops.

### Can I use the Etsy Seller app for several shops?

Etsy's help on second shops does not cover switching shops in the app, and shared access invitations can only be sent and accepted on Etsy.com, not in the Etsy Seller app.
