## Set up Bright Data with the Mosaic anti-detect browser

Paste your Bright Data gateway line into Mosaic once; Mosaic keeps it as a provider and mints a new Bright Data session for each profile, so forty profiles get forty exits from one line.

We make Mosaic, the local-first anti-detect browser; Bright Data is a proxy seller you bring your own account to. This page is the setup, not a review of Bright Data's network.

Bright Data gives you one gateway line with your account's tokens in it. Mosaic reads Bright Data's gateway line from the seller's own documentation, so the separator, the place tokens and the session shape are read off that line rather than retyped.

## Connect Bright Data to Mosaic

1. In Bright Data's dashboard, copy the gateway line for the pool you want, with your username and password in it.
2. In Mosaic, open a profile's proxy field, or the Proxies screen, and paste the line. Mosaic detects it as Bright Data and saves it as a [provider](https://mosaicbrowser.com/features/proxy-providers) you can reuse.
3. Create profiles from the provider. Each one mints its own Bright Data session, so each profile browses from a different exit.
4. Press Start. Mosaic checks the proxy before every launch and will not open the browser until Bright Data has answered and tunnelled, so a dead proxy never leaks your own address.

Bright Data carries a session id Mosaic recognises, so each profile mints its own session and holds its own exit. A Bright Data session that answers but reaches nothing is swapped for a fresh one rather than retried, because a residential session that is dead stays dead for every attempt on the same token.

## What you can set per profile with Bright Data

Bright Data's line carries the exit country, a state or region, a city and a sticky session id, so those are what Mosaic lets you choose per profile. Pick country, state and city in Bright Data's own words, and the exit matches. A pick Bright Data has no word for is refused by name, because a token a gateway silently ignores would put the profile somewhere else without telling you. The words Mosaic does not recognise still survive, because the line is copied rather than rebuilt, so an option Bright Data added that Mosaic has never seen still reaches the exit.

## What Mosaic does with the Bright Data exit

Once a Bright Data proxy is checked, Mosaic reads the public address and city it comes out at and matches the profile to it: the timezone, the languages and the geolocation are set from the exit, not from the proxy's label. Mosaic also stops WebRTC from going around the Bright Data proxy, so a page cannot read your real address that way. The authentication runs through a local relay, so a Bright Data login works over HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5, including SOCKS5 with a username and password, which Chrome cannot log in to on its own.

## The honest limits

Mosaic does not sell proxies or proxy traffic; the Bright Data bill is between you and Bright Data. Mosaic reads Bright Data's format from the published documentation and has not run it against a live Bright Data account, so the row shows an untested badge; the format may be out of date if Bright Data has changed it. Whether to run several accounts on Bright Data exits is the platform's rule, not ours: Mosaic keeps accounts you are entitled to run apart, and does not change what a site allows.

If you are still choosing a seller, the [proxies worth using with an anti-detect browser](https://mosaicbrowser.com/compare/best-proxies-for-anti-detect-browsers) sets out what to look for, and [rotating against sticky sessions](https://mosaicbrowser.com/guides/rotating-vs-sticky-proxies) explains which kind each job wants. Mosaic Pro is $49 a month for any number of profiles, with the first 14 days free, and [Free holds 3 profiles](https://mosaicbrowser.com/pricing).

## Questions

### Does Mosaic sell Bright Data proxies?

No. Mosaic reads the gateway line from your own Bright Data account; you buy the proxies from Bright Data. Mosaic does not resell proxy traffic.

### Will two profiles share a Bright Data exit?

Not by accident. Mosaic mints a separate Bright Data session id for every profile, and a different session id is a different exit. A session you pin by hand is left alone.

### Can I choose the Bright Data exit country per profile?

Yes, where Bright Data's line format has a word for it. Mosaic reads country, state and city from the line and lets you set it per profile; a pick Bright Data cannot spell is refused by name, never dropped.

### Has Mosaic tested Bright Data?

The Bright Data format comes from Bright Data's own documentation, not a live run, so the row carries an untested badge in Mosaic. Mosaic still checks every Bright Data proxy before a profile opens.
