## How to use Cat Proxies with Mosaic

Paste your Cat Proxies gateway line into Mosaic once; Mosaic keeps it as a provider and mints a new Cat Proxies session for each profile, so forty profiles get forty exits from one line.

We make Mosaic, the local-first anti-detect browser; Cat Proxies is a proxy seller you bring your own account to. This page is the setup, not a review of Cat Proxies's network.

Cat Proxies gives you one gateway line with your account's tokens in it. Mosaic read Cat Proxies's gateway line from a real account, so the separator, the place tokens and the session shape are read off that line rather than retyped.

Cat Proxies has residential, premium and mobile pools, and Mosaic reads the line for each; the premium pool carries its options on the password, the mobile pool holds a session of 3 to 240 minutes.

## Connect Cat Proxies to Mosaic

1. In Cat Proxies's dashboard, copy the gateway line for the pool you want, with your username and password in it.
2. In Mosaic, open a profile's proxy field, or the Proxies screen, and paste the line. Mosaic detects it as Cat Proxies and saves it as a [provider](https://mosaicbrowser.com/features/proxy-providers) you can reuse.
3. Create profiles from the provider. Each one mints its own Cat Proxies session, so each profile browses from a different exit.
4. Press Start. Mosaic checks the proxy before every launch and will not open the browser until Cat Proxies has answered and tunnelled, so a dead proxy never leaks your own address.

Cat Proxies carries a session id Mosaic recognises, so each profile mints its own session and holds its own exit. A Cat Proxies session that answers but reaches nothing is swapped for a fresh one rather than retried, because a residential session that is dead stays dead for every attempt on the same token.

## What you can set per profile with Cat Proxies

Cat Proxies's line carries the exit country, a state or region, a city, a sticky session id and how long a session holds, so those are what Mosaic lets you choose per profile. Pick country, state and city in Cat Proxies's own words, and the exit matches. A pick Cat Proxies has no word for is refused by name, because a token a gateway silently ignores would put the profile somewhere else without telling you. The words Mosaic does not recognise still survive, because the line is copied rather than rebuilt, so an option Cat Proxies added that Mosaic has never seen still reaches the exit.

## What Mosaic does with the Cat Proxies exit

Once a Cat Proxies proxy is checked, Mosaic reads the public address and city it comes out at and matches the profile to it: the timezone, the languages and the geolocation are set from the exit, not from the proxy's label. Mosaic also stops WebRTC from going around the Cat Proxies proxy, so a page cannot read your real address that way. The authentication runs through a local relay, so a Cat Proxies login works over HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5, including SOCKS5 with a username and password, which Chrome cannot log in to on its own.

## The honest limits

Mosaic does not sell proxies or proxy traffic; the Cat Proxies bill is between you and Cat Proxies. Mosaic read Cat Proxies's format from a real line, but a proxy pool still changes under you, which is why every Cat Proxies proxy is checked again before each launch. Whether to run several accounts on Cat Proxies exits is the platform's rule, not ours: Mosaic keeps accounts you are entitled to run apart, and does not change what a site allows.

If you are still choosing a seller, the [proxies worth using with an anti-detect browser](https://mosaicbrowser.com/compare/best-proxies-for-anti-detect-browsers) sets out what to look for, and [rotating against sticky sessions](https://mosaicbrowser.com/guides/rotating-vs-sticky-proxies) explains which kind each job wants. Mosaic Pro is $49 a month for any number of profiles, with the first 14 days free, and [Free holds 3 profiles](https://mosaicbrowser.com/pricing).

## Questions

### Does Mosaic sell Cat Proxies proxies?

No. Mosaic reads the gateway line from your own Cat Proxies account; you buy the proxies from Cat Proxies. Mosaic does not resell proxy traffic.

### Will two profiles share a Cat Proxies exit?

Not by accident. Mosaic mints a separate Cat Proxies session id for every profile, and a different session id is a different exit. A session you pin by hand is left alone.

### Can I choose the Cat Proxies exit country per profile?

Yes, where Cat Proxies's line format has a word for it. Mosaic reads country, state and city from the line and lets you set it per profile; a pick Cat Proxies cannot spell is refused by name, never dropped.

### Is the Cat Proxies format tested?

Mosaic read Cat Proxies's line format from a real account, so the separator and session shape match what Cat Proxies hands out. Proxy pools still change; a proxy is always checked before launch.
