We make Mosaic. We tried to be fair; corrections to hello@mosaicbrowser.com.

Multilogin and Mosaic solve the same problem from opposite ends. Multilogin is a cloud platform: browser profiles that can sync between computers, cloud Android phones, bundled proxies and team seats, all priced by how many profiles you hold. Mosaic is a desktop app: one engine, everything on your own disk, one price.

At a glance

Multilogin figures are from its own pages on 2 November 2026. Prices are in US dollars, billed monthly unless stated.

How it works: Local first

What Multilogin does well

Teams. Multilogin's pricing page lists team seats included with each plan and unlimited seats on Business, with profile administration and sharing, so a colleague can be handed an account without being handed its password. If several people work the same accounts, that is the feature that decides it, and Mosaic does not have it.

Working from more than one computer. A Multilogin browser profile can use cloud storage, which lets the same profile open on another device. Local storage is there too, and its help center describes a converter that moves profiles between the two. Mosaic profiles live on one machine.

Cloud phones. Multilogin has moved its front page to Android cloud phones: full Android devices in the cloud with app access, for social and mobile-app accounts. Mosaic can draw Android browser profiles inside its desktop engine, from records captured off real devices, but it runs no phones and cannot run Android apps.

Proxies in the plan. Every Multilogin plan includes some premium proxy traffic and mobile minutes. With Mosaic you buy proxies from a seller of your choice.

A second browser family. Stealthfox gives Firefox-based profiles for workflows that still need them, though Multilogin now calls it legacy and recommends Mimic for new profiles.

Where Mosaic is different

Profiles stay on your computer. Mosaic has no cloud copy of your profiles. Profiles, cookie jars, proxies and saved logins are stored in a folder on your computer, and the store and cookie jars are encrypted on disk. Our server knows your plan and when a profile opens, by an id, never what is in it. If what worries you is a vendor holding the sessions for every account you run, this is the difference. Local first covers the details and the costs.

One price, no profile count. Mosaic Pro is $49 a month with no profile or project limit. A profile costs us nothing to give you, because it runs on your hardware, so we do not meter it. Why Mosaic has no per-profile pricing explains the reasoning.

The engine. Both products ship their own browser cores, so neither is a stock Chrome with a script on top. Mosaic's is stock Chromium source with patches that change fingerprint values in C++, plus fixes for the places where an unbranded Chromium differs from Google Chrome: field trials, the speech voice list and Widevine. Why we built our own Chromium has the measurements.

Profiles from real machines, matched to the exit. Mosaic draws a profile's GPU, screen, CPU threads and memory from one real device record, and sets timezone, language and location from the measured exit of its proxy.

Provider accounts. Paste one gateway line from your proxy seller and Mosaic mints a separate session, so a separate exit, for each profile, and rotates a session that dies.

An MCP server. Mosaic Pro includes a local MCP server, so an AI assistant can create, start and drive profiles with the same abilities as the REST API.

Pricing

Prices from multilogin.com/pricing, in US dollars, on 2 November 2026. Multilogin prices by the number of profiles; Mosaic does not.

Profiles you needMosaic, monthlyMultilogin, billed monthly
5FreeFree (cloud profiles)
10$49$11
100$49$40
300$49$89
1,000$49$185
10,000$49$900

Multilogin is cheaper up to 100 profiles, and its annual billing lowers every figure further. From 300 profiles on, Mosaic is cheaper, and the gap grows with every tier. Remember that Multilogin's price includes some proxy traffic and Mosaic's does not, so add your proxy bill to the Mosaic column.

Mosaic Pro has a 14-day free trial, and both products have a free plan.

Which to pick

Pick Multilogin if more than one person works the accounts, if you need to open profiles from several computers, if your accounts live in Android apps rather than browsers, or if you run under 100 profiles and want proxies included in one bill.

Pick Mosaic if you work from one machine and want the sessions for every account to stay on it, if you run hundreds of profiles and do not want the price to follow the count, or if you want an AI assistant to drive the browser through MCP.

Either way, use them for accounts you are allowed to run. If neither fits, Multilogin alternatives covers five more products.
